I found this blog while browsing last night and I’ve signed up because I think it’s a really creative way of deciding which books I will read next from my bookshelves. The idea is that there are 6 categories and for each one you choose a book based on it’s title. After a good search (my man laughed that it looked like I was staring at the wall for an hour), I’ve settled on these 6 books;
Something topographical: “Between a Rock and a Hard Place” by Aron Ralston
A type of house: “To the Lighthouse” by Virginia Woolf
Something you would find in a bag/purse: “Key to the Door” by Alan Silltoe
Something you would find in the sky: “The City and the Stars” by Arthur C. Clarke
A creepy-crawlie: “The Casebook of the Black Widowers” by Issac Asimov
Something you would find in a calendar: “Sweet Thursday” by John Steinbeck
It’s always good to have a challenge and to chat with others who share in a similar goal so I will be following along on bethfishreads.com throughout the year to see how everyone is doing. Click on the link above for a more detailed description of this challenge and to sign up yourself if you like. Happy Reading!
